The EDIWatch system is designed to install in weeks, not months, so you can begin to receive increased savings immediately.
While the exact components installed affect the steps and timeline of the actual installation, you can generally expect the following:
- EDIWatch will require some support from an individual in your IT department over a 2 week period for the initial install.
- During this time, IT will provide an extract of claims data based on a record layout supplied by EDIWatch.
- We will examine twelve to 24 months worth of claims data – the typical amount required to accurately identify improper billings and trends.
- This analysis will be done off-site, making allowances for the adjudication process (after the initial implementation, the data can be updated on a daily/weekly basis and processed through SPOT™ incrementally).
- We will review the findings with you and provide you with triage and Provider-specific reports validating the findings.
- Within 30 days of of the final data validation, we will be on-site for installation (1/2 day) and will provide 2 days of user training.
Every installation has a certain degree of customization. Your actual process may be slightly different based on your objectives. Our process, however, limits both the deployment time and the impact to your IT resources.
